What is EUDRES?
E3UDRES2 is an Alliance of European Universities, a network created among higher education institutions located in Europe that have decided to collaborate and work together in areas such as teaching, research, innovation, and others.
Which institutions are part of EUDRES?
Currently, E3UDRES2 has 9 institutions from different countries, namely: St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences (Austria), Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (Portugal), Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Hungary), UC Leuven-Limburg University of Applied Sciences (Belgium), Politehnica University of Timisoara (Romania), Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (Latvia). The three most recent alliances are with Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Fulda University of Applied Sciences (Germany), and finally, Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences (Finland)."
What is the European Universities Initiative?
The European Universities Initiative is a flagship initiative of the European Strategy for Universities, which sets the ambition to support 60 European universities involving more than 500 higher education institutions by mid-2024. The aim is to establish a multi-university campus as an example throughout Europe, not only to motivate and educate but also to engage students and educators capable of contributing solutions to challenges in general.
E3UDRES2 Research areas
There are three research areas to be addressed, based on interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration for relevant challenges, such as well-being and active aging, circular economy, and human contribution to artificial intelligence.
E3UDRES2 main activities
The main activities of E3UDRES2 are the Living Lab, Hackathon, Bootcamp, Research Living, and Rural Residency.
